You Are a Curse Breaker by Jennifer Eivaz is my latest book pick, and it comes with a personal testimony. If you do not know who Jennifer Eivaz is, she is a bestselling author, minister, and international conference speaker. Her passion is to raise and equip believers to become effective prayer warriors within the body of Christ. She is co-pastor alongside her husband at Harvest Church in Turlock, California.

I first learned of Jennifer Eivaz over a year ago through her online ministry. Since then, I have read three of her books including Awaken the Dreamscape. Also, I have watched hours of her video teachings and participated in her online mentorship group. This is why I can wholeheartedly recommend her ministry and books.

Susan’s Journey of Healing

To understand why I recommend You Are a Curse Breaker, you would have to know something about my spiritual journey. While in my thirties. I suffered from depression, anger, and bouts of uncontrolled rage caused by trauma earlier in my life. Although I was a professing Christian, I was not a practicing one. I knew that God had the answers. To find God, I headed for the nearest church.

James 5:16 (NIV) says: “Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.” I took this verse very literally and made an appointment with a deacon’s wife. My need to confess was clear, and it made logical sense that a deacon’s wife was the next best thing to confessing to God Himself. I was desperate to heal!

You can imagine how overwhelming it was for the poor woman to listen to my hours-long confessional. To her credit, she stuck it out. The tears of compassion that poured down her cheeks encouraged me to open the vault of my heart. Later, she explained she was having an allergic reaction to my cat. !!! Bless her heart. The woman stoically suffered while I bared my soul. It would not surprise you to know that she never came back. And sadly enough, all that confessing did nothing to heal my emotional distress.

My quest to find healing continued for another two years. I did everything I knew to do — prayed, confessed, repented, attended church, went to conferences, read books, received prayer. There were no results. Finally, I spoke directly to God and asked Him for help. Shortly after praying, He brought a woman into my life who had spiritual wisdom. She recognized my condition and pointed me to a ministry that could teach and equip me.

Inner Healing and Deliverance

I was soon introduced to the concept of inner healing, generational curses, demonization, and deliverance. Believe me, I had a healthy dose of skepticism, and it took a lot to be convinced. Nevertheless, God had so carefully ordered my steps that I knew He was answering my prayers. I began to heal. My physical appearance changed within months, and my emotions became balanced. The depression and anger left and never returned. Until then, no amount of praying, Bible reading, or church attendance had brought freedom. What I had been lacking was knowledge and “equipping” that is sadly not available in most local churches. No doubt about it. This instruction is sorely needed in the Body of Christ.
