Hello! It’s so nice to meet you! I’m Susan “Honey” Williams — shown in the photo above. Below is a picture of my cabin home located in the north Georgia mountains. I live here with my husband Big D and our dog Honey.
I am a 60-something mother and grandmother who loves Jesus. I enjoy writing, crafting, and encouraging others in their faith.
I am the author of The Naked Man and the Bear and Other True Stories from the Laughing Cabin, published in 2023. The book is a collection of true-life stories and personal reflections documenting my move from the suburban jungle of South Florida to the mountains of North Georgia.
At the age of 40, I eventually made my way to a cabin in the woods, where I arrived with a hurting heart. God met me here and prescribed laughter as my medicine. He used this mountain setting as the stage for healing and provided a cast of unlikely characters to provide daily doses of humor. You will get to meet many of them inside the pages.
This feel-good book promises to make you laugh and cry at different times. It’s one you will want to read over and over again.
My newest book, It’s Your Time for a Comeback: A Call to Women Over 50 to Return, Rebuild, and Rise, will be released through Messenger Life Publishing in early 2025. I can’t wait to tell you more about it.
