I love to read as much as I love to write. Some books stand out more than others because they leave a lasting impact. Now My Eyes See You by Janell Kremer [paid link] is one of those books. That’s why it’s my December 2024 Book Pick.

Profoundly Impacting

Years ago, while in my thirties, I saw Jesus in a vision. He was surrounded by a crowd of people who were watching Him as He was being beaten and mocked. He was bloodied, bruised, covered in streaks of dirt, dripping with sweat, and in great pain. Jesus was stooped forward because he could barely stand. I saw Him from the same perspective as the people standing in the crowd. Jesus looked at me. His eyes pierced through my soul. He said, “I did this for you.” You can imagine the impact this vision had on me. It brought me to tears.

I have not thought about that vision in many years… until I opened Janell’s book. Barely ten pages into it, she writes, “You are the one Jesus fixed His eyes upon when His back was scourged and His hands were pierced.”

As soon as I finished that sentence, God’s presence enveloped me. He brought that decades-ago vision to my remembrance, and I became completely undone. So much so that it took me a few days to open the book again. If just those few pages could so profoundly impact me, it tells me the level of anointing that is on the message. To carry such an anointing, a messenger has to have surrendered to God so completely for her own healing. That is why a book of this kind is so precious and rare.
